Modis is seeking a Senior Perl Developer to contribute to our client's next generation
labs-as-a-service platform. This Senior Perl Developer will play a vital role in the success
of our client and every customer of our client's, as they will create and own several enterprise applications supporting Services around the clock.
This individual will be required to work with minimal guidance to produce software that is extremely reliable and highly-scalable. In this role, the Developer must think several steps ahead and deliver code which can evolve as our requirements expand. The Senior Perl Developer will have to assist in supporting the existing tools, although new development will be their primary focus.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum seven years of full-time Perl experience, with Perl being the primary language for
the current or most recent position held. More experience is preferred.
- Minimum four years working with object-oriented Perl, with experience in Moose strongly preferred.
- Minimum two years experience working with Plack/PSGI as well as strong past experience with Mod_Perl.
- Minimum two years experience working with Template::Toolkit or an equivalent template platform (Mason, HTML::Template)
- Substantial experience with at least one of the following: Catalyst, Mojolicious, Dancer, or Maypole.
- Minimum of seven years working with MySQL or MariaDB as in a database administrator role.
We would prefer candidates who also have:
- Published modules to CPAN
- Answered Perl questions on Stack Overflow, or Perl Monks.
- Contributed documentation, presentations, or time to the Perl community
