Our client, an industry leading corporation, is looking to add a Senior Engineer to its software development team. We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, self-starter, who is also an experienced software engineer with a thorough knowledge of PHP & JavaScript technologies to develop & maintain our enterprise-grade transactional software. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team utilizing agile development philosophies and focused on rapid speed-to-market.
The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years’ experience in a professional software development environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in PHP 5+
  • 5+ years’ experience in Advanced JavaScript
  • Experience leading development teams, and performing code reviews
  • Knowledge of web design & deployment technologies including JQuery, HTML, DOM, CSS, Apache
  • Experience using Linux
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming
  • Knowledge of typical development tools such as IDEs and code repositories
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills

Other desirable, but not required, skills include:

  • Experience with Laravel, CodeIgniter, and/or NodeJS
  • Experience using MySQL or other relational databases

Knowledge of secure coding techniques
