Coordinates, designs, builds, tests, and deploys effective test automation strategies and procedures for testing efforts across multiple software applications, in accordance with industry standards.  Works with stakeholders to develop progressive test suites that will validate the functional correctness and performance capabilities of the software, in order to provide the highest quality software products to both external and internal customers.
Essential Job Functions
• Provides Technical Leadership and Strategic Direction for Test Automation.  Maintains a holistic view of the product, its dependencies, organizational goals, and directs the functioning of automation efforts.
• Proactively designs, expands / improves and implements testing automation framework and methodologies to increase test execution abilities with the latest technology and techniques, to include metric and defect reporting.
• Proactively increases Test Automation coverage by continuously translating existing manual regression test scripts in collaboration with the Quality Assurance manual test team, and develops automated test scripts that are easily maintainable and can be used efficiently for various software application products.
• Executes various types of testing including smoke and full regression in multiple environments using multiple browsers. Maintains automated testing database and ensures the use of quality data; report test outcomes by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and displaying data.
Additional Job Responsibilities
• Reviews requirements, specifications, user documentation, and other project related documentation in order to appropriately maintain, if needed, existing automated test scripts.
• Ensures that standard methodologies to support the delivery of quality products meet client specifications with minimum defects, on-time, and on-budget. Ensures quality milestones and the activities and processes to monitor compliance, adhere to the standards and methodologies implemented by the Quality Assurance manual test team.
• Ensures proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or Business-related field or comparable education or comparable experience.
Knowledge and Experience
Requires minimum of 7 years experience in a large financial institution environment or comparable experience.
Experience with test management and automated testing tools such as, but not limited to, Quality Center/ALM, QTP/UFT, Selenium, Python, Jenkins, and Visual Studio.
Experience and technical knowledge and understanding of data analysis and validation, SQL, VB-Scripting, C#, java, and .Net.
Documented experience performing manual and automated application testing exhibiting a thorough understanding of the application development lifecycle.
Proven experience in participating in projects and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and take on responsibility and accountability.
Skill Competencies
Basic understanding of structured application development methodology and principals, understanding
of structured environments using distinct development, test, and production environments.
Requires excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
• SEDENTARY WORK:  Involves sitting most of the time.  Walking & standing are required only occasionally.    Close visual acuity to perform activities like analyzing data, typing, writing, viewing a computer, reading, inspecting small parts or assembling.    
Working Conditions
State any working conditions that the employee needs to be aware of such as working environment, hours of work and any special conditions such as high noise levels, shifts, travel and overtime.   
• Generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.  Evening and/or weekend shifts may be required. May drive vehicle if needed.
