We are seeking a local hands-on Software Manager to join our rapidly growing Technology team. As a Software Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers. You will also directly support new development and upgrades to software, architecture, design, code, versions, and test requirements. As a team leader and technical delivery facilitator, your primary responsibilities include supervising and coordinating team members, resources, and processes required for new software delivery and upgrades to existing products.
Selected candidates will be practical in their supervision and orientation for the creation and improvement of platforms and software systems oriented to the consumer. You will have the technical property and delivery responsibilities for one or more software products.
 
Responsibilities:
• Directly develop and manage a team of 4-8 software engineers. Management responsibilities include staffing (both full time and ad-hoc), employee reviews, and continuous coaching/feedback as necessary.
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews to properly evaluate technology solutions as proposed and implemented by the software development team.
• Develop relations with existing and prospective internal customers to interpret all individual requirements.
• Translate product requirements into actionable work items for software engineers.
• Enthusiastically pursue additional training and understanding of new technologies relevant to the Digital Platforms team. Advise broader leadership team on strategies for use of new technologies.
• Participate and provide technical guidance within strategic planning and product roadmap discussions.
• Update the Regional Manager on the status of team activities.
• Possess strong leadership skills with an ability to prioritize effectively and communicate clearly.
• Be a subject matter expert for our client applications, back-end services and business constraints.
• Strong personal ownership and ability to set and meet high professional standards, flexible and responsive work, technical leadership to development team by leading planning sessions and Scrum meetings.
• Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, and testing along with delivery.
• Responsible for managing the Scrum process with the coordination of Scrum team in Agile methodology.
 
Requirements:
• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder).
• Seven plus (7+) plus years of demonstrated experience in software development for complex function-based software.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing four (4) or more software engineers in a fast-paced environment, with a cycle of 12-18-month concept-to-initial capability.
• Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing software tool environments to meet team growth, maintain rigor, and enhance software development process to increase efficiency.
• Five plus (5+) years of proven analysis and technical design, development, and architecture experience.
• Ten plus (10+) years of experience managing Enterprise applications in C#.NET using MVC, WCF, OO Design, and Web API.
• Two plus (2+) years working within an Agile and Scrum software development environment.
• Three plus (3+) years’ experience in a software development leadership role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding and first-hand use of modern project management, software development tools, and technologies including AWS, JIRA, Microsoft .Net, Windows Workflow foundation, Bootstrap, Xamarin, HTML5, CSS3, Angular Material, Angular JS, Kendo UI, Microsoft Enterprise Libraries, and Highcharts.
• Technical background of multiple Web Technologies including Angular, C# and Scripting languages.
• Excellent Leadership skills and able to deliver on the timelines.
• Clear, concise communication skills, both oral and written.
• Manage and execute software development projects from beginning to finish.
