A contract Software Test Engineer- (Web/Device Testing ) job located in Everett, WA is available courtesy Modis.

The Software Tester will be responsible for the end-to-end testing of an agile software development project; responsible for working with the leads to coordinate and prioritize tasks via backlogs for sprint planning and setting schedules. Works with the team to ensure builds and baselines reflect accurate versions of software related to test phases; evaluates solutions for alternative methods of testing; and ensures all test documentation is produced in accordance with the industry standards. Must be capable of working in a fast paced, agile environment

The pay is open for the right candidate on a W2 contract.
Duration is 6-12 months.


Software Test Engineer- (Web/Device Testing ) job responsibilities include:




Actively engages with quality engineers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines ( Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.).
Identifies opportunities to drive and contribute beyond team commitments.
Manages the day to day operations of Test Tools, Regression Bed and Testing environment including production maintenance of business support and project related activities.
Analyzes, identifies and implements Regression Test Bed and Automation.
Works closely with business analysts, solution architects and project managers to define test cases, test scripts and test data.
Develops and improves standards and processes as required to increase the efficiency of requirements, design, development, testing, load, and deployment activities.
Performs analysis for capacity planning and manages storage inventory.
Participates in peer reviews and on project teams to ensure environment needs and impacts are identified as they relate to performance and maintainability.
Follows defect tracking processes; including software defect documentation, defect tracking tool (HP ALM, etc.) utilization, etc.

Participates in applicable team agile ceremonies and provides input to help that team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Companies’ mission and values and adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct. Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.
Performs other functions as assigned by management.





Qualifications:





Minimum five (5) years in testing through a full system development life cycle including designing, developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test processes.
Experience developing and enhancing test plans and procedures that define test strategies and coverage.
Experience in documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting and audits.
Experience testing systems from existing system and functional specifications
Experience developing test cases and plans from requirements documentation.
Experience with Php, XML, Java, C++, database interface, LINUX, and Windows system programming is highly desired.
Working knowledge of and skills in the use of automated test tools
Experience with at least a few of the following:



Test automation development or some demonstrated development experience
Performance / load / stress testing
User interface testing
Security testing
Code coverage tools
Systems integration testing
Experience using JIRA, Git, and Beanstalk
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
