A SQL DBA is available south of Louisville, KY courtesy of Modis on a contract-to-hire basis. To be qualified for this position you must have experience with managing SQL Server databases. You will also need to have the ability to do some development.

SQL DBA Responsibilities:

Maintaining the database, performance tuning/optimization, troubleshooting/resolving issues and ensuring databases are working properly
Support day-to-day operations as well as assist director in strategic IT planning
Demonstrating innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered
Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing resolutions

SQL DBA Requirements:

5+ years of DBA experience
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Experience running on SQL 2008 R2 and 2012
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are required
