SQL Database Architect job in Pasadena, CA
Under the direction of a Lead Database Architect this role will be responsible for database extract, transform, cleansing and load (ETL) script development, ETL automation and report development. He/she will also document data warehouse requirements and will participate in data modeling as required. He/she will gather and analyze infrastructure capacity and demand metrics and business data from a variety of sources, and use it to recommend data ETL processes that support infrastructure capacity planning and trend analysis.
• Data Warehouse requirements gathering/documentation
• ETL development in SSIS
• SQL stored procedure development
• ETL automation
• Experience developing ETL in SSIS or similar ETL tool
• Requirements documentation
• Data analysis
• MS-Office
• Advanced MS-SQL development
• Microsoft Certified DBA or MCSE
• Familiarity with systems management tools and data (ex. Tivoli, VROPs, TADDM)
• Strong written and oral communications
