SQL Developer
 
Position Summary
The SQL Developer is a key member of the Finance team responsible for maintaining financial algorithms (SQL), financial systems design/administration, reporting (SQL Server, Tableau), and ad hoc analysis.  This position serves as a business partner to the Finance Team as well as the administrator of the time & billing and management reporting systems. The SQL Developer ensures optimal performance of the financial algorithms (SQL), time & billing and management reporting systems as well as delivery of information required to drive decision making and achievement of fiscal objectives.
 
Principal Accountabilities
• Participate in selection, development, and management of BI systems.
• Design, administer, and improve, the Expert Gross Margin Algorithm SQL, Equity Vesting Algorithm (SQL), Elite 3E, Independent Contractors Database, and other management reporting systems as needed.
• Create, maintain report distribution methods as well as create processes to ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist others in utilizing the reporting tools and assist in ad hoc reporting.
• Design and create processes to maintain data integrity.
• Prepare ad hoc and routine analysis using advanced database skills for special projects.
• Support the Finance Department in establishing and executing the department’s objectives.
• Assist IT in providing support for a time and billing system, Elite 3E.
 
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 4 years of related SQL systems development experience including in-depth SQL Server and Tableau experience.
• Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency and commitment to accuracy and the ability to handle ambiguity and lead areas of responsibility with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Excellent computer skills including advanced proficiency in SQL Server (SSRS, SSAS), Tableau, Excel (pivot tables, lookup, macros, etc.), Microsoft Access, VBA, XML, Word, PowerPoint, and Working knowledge of Elite 3E preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the firm.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; initiative and ability to follow-up and follow-through.
