A Sr. CAD Design Engineer job in Warsaw, IN is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. Under the direction of a project leader, you would be responsible for creating and revising solid models and detail drawings using 3-Dimensional modeling tools. You would also be responsible for the integrity of the computer-graphic product and process model databases. These models must be suitable for internal concurrent manufacture, CAE evaluation, CMM data extraction and vendor translation.

Sr. CAD Design Engineer job responsibilities include:

* Works simultaneously with development, research, CAE, manufacturing, tool and process engineers to create complex 3-D surfaced or solid models of orthopedic implants, provisionals and instrumentation.
* Works simultaneously with process engineering and CNC programming to develop casting, forging and processing models and drawings.
* Evaluates designs using anatomic data.
* Performs complex 3-D tolerance analysis ensuring proper fit and function.


* Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and capable of applying GD&T callouts to drawings per ASME Y 14.5.
* A two-year technical degree.
* Must have training and/or experience creating solid models using Unigraphics software; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Assists with the development of processes and techniques that shorten development cycle times.
