Modis is currently seeking a Sr. Hyperion Functional Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity in Chicago, IL (downtown in the Loop!).
 
This Hyperion Analyst will provides technical, business, and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with project schedules. Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff. Eight years of experience is desired.
 
Sr. Hyperion Functional Analyst responsible for the first level support and business analysis of Hyperion Planning and Budgeting systems to satisfy operations and reporting needs. Identifies and drives process and system enhancements to improve efficiencies within Hyperion System. Lead new systems implementation and reporting needs.
 
Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the first level support and business analysis of financial systems to satisfy operations and reporting needs.
• Troubleshoots production issues and fulfills customer requests in a timely manner. Conducts root-cause analysis and develops solutions to prevent issues from re-occurring
• Identifies and drives process and system enhancements to improve efficiencies within Hyperion systems.
• Develops thorough and detailed business requirements, and manages user testing to complete implementation.
• Leads the business process design and the detailed business requirements development. Support current DataMart and implement new Data Analytical tools. Example: (Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire etc.)
 
Other Accountabilities :
Develops materials for Hyperion application training. Conducts training sessions as requested.
Develops and maintains documentation of new and existing systems and processes.
 
Additional Skills:              
•             Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
•             Minimum 5 years’ experience in a functional role supporting Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Reporting, Smart View.
•             Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in Designing and implementing Data Analytical Tools. Example: (Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire etc.)
•             Need basic understanding on Business Rule, Calculation Script, ASO cubes.
•             Experience in gathering and documenting detailed business requirements, and designing solutions.
•             Proficient in writing SQL statements.
•             Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Able to effectively articulate complex system processes.
•             Proven time management skills. Able to effectively multi-task and quickly respond to changing priorities.
•             A quick learner and a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•             Self-directed and highly motivated with track records of consistently achieving goals.
•             Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting
•             Excellent customer service skills
•             Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials or any other ERP
•             Demonstrated experience in process improvements
