Sr. Network Security Analyst
Are you a person that loves to analyze network vulnerabilities and come up with ideas to better secure your organization?  Are you detail oriented with a great knack for troubleshooting?  If you answered yes to these questions, I would lobe to chat with you.  I am currently in search for a Sr. Network Security Analyst to join one of my clients here in Austin as a FULL-TIME employee day one.  This role will come with a salary of up to $95k and will also have an at risk bonus of 10-15%.  
Responsibilities & Skills

  • Hands-on experience configuring and deploying Network/Application/Host based Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Netflow analyzers, Web Proxy, VPN, Centralized log systems, etc. (Preferably  Cisco ASA, FireEye MSO/MIR/WMPS/EMPS).
  • Reviews and triages alerts from our Global Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS), Firewall, and log correlation tools for potential threats.
  • Familiar with Symantec System Recovery and Symantec Endpoint Protection and Antivirus.
  • Extensive hands on experience with configuring, securing, monitoring and troubleshooting client and server class OS.
  • Expert understanding of continuous diagnostic & mitigation, software patching, cryptography & key management, diagnostic forensics, application whitelisting.
  • Manage operations in identifying, monitoring, investigating, and analyzing computer network intrusions. Ensure events are properly identified, analyzed, and escalated to incidents.
  • Gather digital evidence and forensic data, and performing incident response activities, and generate incident and forensic reports as directed by our Security team.
  • Understanding of IT Security and cybersecurity including Windows client/Servers, routers, servers, storage technologies, firewalls, PKI, PCI.
  • Ensure that all detection signatures are current and in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Initiates escalation procedure to counteract potential threats/vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in the response, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Provides incident remediation and prevention documentation.
  • Participates in broader network support team activities including incident and service request management when not fully engaged with other duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven track record of resolving complex technical problems and the ability to consult with clients for future needs.
  • Mature ability to manage time including the ability to define and prioritize workload based on business needs.
  • Monitor emerging technology developments and identify innovations with potential high payoffs to the company.


  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco Routers and Switches with advanced knowledge of TCP/IP network administration
  • 6+  years of production-level support and implementation services in large data center environment
  • CCNA Certification
  • CISSP and or CEH Certification preferred
