Sr Product Manager – International Platform - Permanent/Direct-Hire
 
We are Crackle, a fast-paced and growing digital network of Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT).
We are looking for an extremely talented Product Manager whose primary focus will be increasing international by enhancing our video streaming platform capabilities and building a global roadmap. This role’s particular specialty will be to help execute the Crackle product vision to deliver maximum value for consumers and stakeholders with a goal of helping the business achieve its growth and monetization targets internationally.
 
The Product Manager role is a global position that is part of a team that delivers the Crackle applications in all territories and languages.
The qualified candidate will have the ability to be nimble and recognize when to pivot strategy in an always-evolving digital landscape, while taking advantage of industry trends both locally and globally.
 
The Product Manager is a person who is deeply connected to the world of digital video entertainment; a person who understands consumer behavior (data driven) and evolving trends with respect to video consumption on traditional platforms (e.g., linear TV) and emerging platforms and devices.  In particular, this Product Manager has a specialty in understanding the nuances of digital user behavior, business trends and localized context throughout international markets.
 
The Product Manager will be an individual contributor and will report into the Global Digital Platform Group and will work alongside a team of product managers leading various initiatives and products.
 
Ideally we are looking for:
• Experience with Apps, Android, iOS, Website development – multi screen
• OTT experience a plus
• Content management systems (CMS) / Digital Asset Management systems (DAM)
• Experience with Analytics, KPI measuring being data driven
• Candidates with Product Design experience (not to be mistaken for UI/UX design)
• Managing product roadmaps, defining user stories, breaking down a big vision into executable product roadmap
 
Hands-on experience in:
• Requirements gathering, gap analysis, writing business and technical specifications
• Assessing and managing scope of work, decomposing high level business requirements and developing detailed product briefs and lower level stories/tasks
• Testing and monitoring for client/stakeholder/user satisfaction and resolve issues related to an application
• Understanding and developing business process workflows and how they are supported through existing products
• Accurately analyzing critical details of business issues and opportunities to understand and define impact and workarounds, and evaluate alternative business solutions
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Proactively engage with business users and key stakeholders, external and internal and act as the primary point of contact for international stakeholders for all things product
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for your products, create user training and on-going support documentation, and facilitate training sessions
• Hands on - Analyze requirements, write user stories and specifications
• Feature launches - from vision and strategy to use cases and through development and analysis.
• Work with UX team to come up with best in class user experience across devices and platforms
• Ensure that new and upcoming feature sets can be leveraged globally and are always scalable
• Create flow charts, user journeys and user stories while working with solution design and UI/UX teams to ensure product optimization
• Work with technical teams to ensure final products are built to the product specification and UI/UX specifications
• Develop and track all key metrics related to new application launches and define coherent before/after pictures to ensure the business is investing scarce development resources in the correct areas
• Assist in defining the long-term roadmap for a specific product to ensure all products meet business objectives
• Relationship management with stakeholder including driving consensus and prioritization
 
Requirements:
 
• The candidate must have a BS, BA, or advanced degree in computer science, communications or related field, or relevant work experience
• Strong background in the building and operating one of the following type of products: mobile, web based or connected TV based
• Experience in managing high quality streaming service whether live or VOD
• Experience with content management systems for both Web and Digital Assets
• Experience in managing subscription or heavy user acquisition businesses
• Experience with UI wire framing tools such as Lucidchart, Balsamiq and others
• At least 4-6 years of Product Management experience in the digital media field
• Background in at least one of the following types of products: connected TVs, mobile devices, game consoles, API micro-services
• Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of concurrent projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment
• Must demonstrate solid organization/communication skills
• Data driven with a strong attention to detail and familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Adobe analytics, Tableau and the like), ideally experience with A/B testing tools
• Ability to secure cooperation and drive consensus across senior management and other departments as well as partners internally and externally
• Experience with digital consumer payment methods to help make it easy for consumers to join and pay for our services around the world
• In-depth understanding of Agile software development methodologies, consensus building, stakeholder management, prioritization such as backlog grooming and sprint
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other presentation technologies, API’s as well as streaming media protocols and DRM such as HLS, Smooth Streaming, PlayReady etc. a plus
