A Sr. Security Incident Response Coordinator job in Atlanta, GA is available through Modis. A Sr. Security Incident Response Coordinator is a member of the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) and reports to the Manager of Security Incident Response Coordination. The role's overall responsibility is to coordinate and enhance the execution of the incident response (IR) processes. The role's primary function is to communicate to and track status of other teams within the company during the various phases of the incident response process.

• Must have experience leading projects, but also understand Incident Response
• Make sure Incident response is working smoothly behind the scenes. This is not a hands-on position.
• This is a Hybrid role: Part Project manager, Part Security
• Ideally, looking for someone who has worked in a SOC, but is also interested in being a PM
• This will focus more on web security rather than network security

Sr. Security Incident Response Coordinator Job responsibilities include:
• Coordinate the execution of the Security Incident Response Plan
• Perform activities related to security incident coordination, including convening the appropriate technical audience, capturing event timelines, transferring verbally assigned actions to formal ticketing, maintaining status and timeline of the event, and performing post-mortem analysis on the event
• Provide reporting and metrics on the security incident response process for regular consumption by security leadership
• Additional actions as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6+ years of overall work experience
• 3+ years of experience working in information security or information technology roles
• Experience developing, implementing, and leading service-oriented security incident response programs
• Demonstrated ability to interact with business and technical audiences across all levels of an organization
• In-depth knowledge of common internet protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP)
• Security knowledge across multiple security domains and technologies (e.g., operating systems, databases, networking, applications, identity and access management)
• Exposure to working with Windows and *nix environments
• Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with competing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to maintain calm and focus a team during a crisis situation
• Strong knowledge of project management approaches and coordination of short and medium duration projects
• Ability to travel as needed to support Security Incidents

Certifications:
• Possession of industry certifications highly preferred including, but not limited to, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Possession of project management certifications highly preferred including, but not limited to, Project Management Professional (PMP)
