Job Title: Process / Mechanical Engineering Technician
Non-Exempt

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
• 8-10 hours/day; 40-50 hours/week. This position requires off-hours coverage on nights and weekends on a rotating basis with co-workers.
Purpose of the Position: To provide production support and core lathe tuning in a Core Premium Performance Group.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Understands equipment used in key process(es) and interprets data from process(es) to solve problems.
• Troubleshoots process and equipment issues.
• Works with Product Line Engineering owners to tune lathes
• Works with teams focused on product innovation, cost reduction projects, etc.
• Works with engineers to develop and implement testing and integration of equipment.
• Works on equipment projects to reduce costs, downtime and/or defects and increase yields.
• Provides inputs to project plans that identify resources and accurate timelines.
• May be asked to participate in developing a new process or machine to improve the current process.
• May be asked to write process, product or equipment documentation
Projects involved with: Cost reduction and performance improvement projects concentrating on premium and new products.
Travel Requirements (please note if international):
• 0-5%
Required Education: Associates Degree in technical field or strong Math/Science background and experiences.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
• Reads blueprints and/or drawings.
• Other technician and/or operator roles that lead to a better understanding of the products, equipment and processes.

o Documents results, procedures, or daily communications (passdowns, experiment plan results, data analysis, lab documentation).
