A full time Systems Engineer job in San Ramon, CA is available through Modis. In this role, you will work with a team of six upgrading and replacing legacy systems. Systems Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems
• Review and recommend changes to network technologies
• Ensure systems and infrastructure availability
• Manage, monitor, and maintain assigned systems and infrastructure, software/firmware/security patches and upgrades

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5 years of Systems Engineer experience in a 500+ user environment
• Solid experience in SAN, Hyper V, Exchange, or Network/Firewalls
• MCP or MCSE certification a plus

Systems Engineer
Old Republic Home Protection is seeing a motivated Systems Engineer to manage and support the Network Infrastructure and Systems, and take on a leadership role in assigned areas of responsibility.
Job Details and Responsibilities

Review and recommend changes to network technologies and/or operational methods in order to improve workflow, simplify procedures, or reduce costs.
Manage, monitor and maintain all assigned systems and infrastructure, including software/firmware/security patches and upgrades, and other related architecture support.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools in assigned areas.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Participate in the design of information and operation support systems.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Tools: Windows 10, Office 2013/2016, Remote Desktop Services, Server 2012/2016 OS.
Advanced working knowledge of Hyper-V technology and virtualization environments.
Advanced Active Directory administration skill.
Advanced knowledge of PC/laptop, Thin Clients, Servers, Network Devices hardware.
Advanced knowledge and practical implementation of network infrastructure topologies and concepts, from inception to implementation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
Five years Systems Engineer experience in a 500+ user environment.
MCP or MCSE Certification.
