This is a 3 month assignment providing coverage.
Function: Design & Fabricate precision fixtures and tooling for manufacturing operations.
HS diploma, prefer Tech degree with at least 2 yrs exp.
three must have's:
Ability to design different types of fixtures. Able to fabricate tooling using equipment like Bridgeport and Lathe. Can be given a description of a needed assemble fixture and complete a sketched design, then fabricate needed fixture. No issue reading and understanding blue prints. Able to use precision measuring devices like micrometers and calipers.

Nice to haves:
Able to weld steel us tig welding within tolerances. Ability to operate many types on manual machine shop equipment. Understand what type of steel should be used depending how fixture will be used by manufacturing

Can complete many projects with little supervision to very tight dimension tolerances
Design and fabricate custom fixtures and tooling for manufacturing.
Problem solving, detailed, hands on with machines and tools, team player, work well with others.
