A Fortune 500 company is looking to fill a technical Release Manager job in Lone Tree, CO. They are looking for someone who is hands on; technical, and can drive the process to be more automated by working with development. They need to be able to work with Powershell and do some coding in SQL. Additionally, looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, and has experience with Remedy, or similar tools.  
Job Description
Serve as the primary person for managing and coordinating Pre-Production and Production deployments as defined by corporate and policies and procedures
Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain the Release Management Process documentation
  • Coordinate and Maintain deployment schedules for multiple environments
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Team leads to determine and manage release content and timing
  • Manage operational change requests
  • Contribute to process improvements for the release management process and maintain documentation of all release processes
  • Maintain awareness and stays current with Configuration Management policies and procedures
  • Creates and Manages eChange tickets and ensures compliance as it progresses thru various phases of the release process
  • Provides release coordination and communication before, during, and after deployments
  • Creates requests for change (RFC to production) and obtains appropriate approvals
  • Facilitates emergency releases from production incident identification to incident closure after release.
  • Verifies and capture business certification and customer acceptance/signoff on deliverables
  • Attends change management and deployment planning meetings to collect data and information pertaining to the release 


  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Must be of strong will able to hold the line on policy, procedures, and guidelines
  • Must be a problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Must pursue and resolve issues independently but know when to seek higher level input when needed
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and adaptability skills
  • Knowledge of change management practices
  • Must possess good time management skills and be flexible
  • Knowledge of Scrum/agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps a plus Working knowledge with Remedy and Jira a plus
  • Someone who is hands on, technical and can drive the process to be more automated by working with development
