The Test Development Engineer will be the technical expert for Electrical Test of Electronic Components, including: electrical test at ambient and temperature ranges, MIL-STD testing, up-screen testing, and burn-in testing. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the test processes and equipment, a hands-on approach, and a demonstrated track record of improving the efficiency of test development. The Test Development Engineer will monitor production by installing and verifying the proper process controls; thus, empowering production personnel to eliminate retesting and meet shipment schedules. The Test Development Engineer will also lead development projects to expand the site’s test service offerings and work with other sites on new product introductions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical design specifications using LabView and other software programs.
Interpret technical drawings or datasheet schematics to breadboard a basic electronic component (analog, digital, and mixed signal) for testing and analyze the resulting data.
Create a final test report for customers.
Manage and report on weekly production schedule for electrical test jobs.
Train technicians and operators on work instructions and procedures.
Communicate with customers regarding test requirements or results.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum three years of experience in assembly design or electrical bench testing.
National Instruments LabView certifications (CLD or CLA) and/or C/C++ experience, highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with circuit design and development.
Working knowledge of National Instruments equipment, including: multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, LCR meters, and curve tracers.
Demonstrated understanding of electrical principles (Ohms Law, SI units, technical math skills, and statistical analysis).
Experience overseeing electrical design activities, including: timeline, sourcing, costing, and execution.
Computer skills (spreadsheets, database, ERP system).
Experience developing quotes for sales, desirable.
Three years of experience in new product design, manufacturing support, and coding, highly desirable.
Experience within the military/aerospace industry (AS6081 MIL-STD-883) or other highly-regulated environment, preferred.
Must be a US citizen.
