A Tool Designer job in Warsaw, IN is available through Modis. Our client, who is a market leader in the Medical Device space, is seeking an experienced Fixture and Tool Designer who will be responsible for developing tooling concepts and designs for all tools, dies, fixtures, and special equipment necessary to produce a product or system, with follow-up on build and implementation.

Qualifications/Required Skills/Experience:

Candidates should have an Associates Degree in an engineering science plus 5 years’ experience in fixture and tool design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have 3 years Unigraphics experience with Rev. 18 or higher.
Candidates should be familiar with iMAN.
Must have working knowledge of tool and fixture design for the areas of machining (lathes, mills, CNC applications, perishable tooling applications) and finishing (polishing, mass finishing, blasting, electro polishing, etc.).

Must have working knowledge in control procedures, such as the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) and Deviation process, Zimmer Engineering Specifications (ZESs), Zimmer Laboratory Procedures (ZLPs), Zimmer Work Instructions (ZWIs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Must have working knowledge of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
