An Instructional Designer III job in RTP, NC is available through Modis, Inc. In this role you will Design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials. Collaborate with internal and external partners to determine specific design focus. 7 years of experience are required.

The Instructional Designer III job responsibilities include:

Analyze business needs to determine whether there is a learning need and define performance objectives
Design and develop a range of learning experiences for Services Academy clients, including: Instructor-led training (ILT) design, e-learning and blended learning solutions, Online learning solutions, including websites, and social, peer, distributed and other innovative learning initiatives
Knowledge of learning format options and tradeoffs
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to set and manage expectations, create project plans, and regularly communicate project update and status
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into learning and performance objectives, facilitate approvals and gain alignment on content direction, design and details. Lead content collaboration with stakeholders, problem-solving to achieve performance objectives, and resolve issues, risks and quality challenges.
Collaborate with subject matter experts in a variety of fields to help translate their knowledge into an effective learning experience for others
Identify and incorporate the most effective and innovative practices in learning delivery including social and peer learning, game-based learning, informal learning, and performance support.
Apply best practices in adult learning to design, write, and build a range of high-quality learning experiences, with an emphasis on e-learning, video, animations, and social learning.
Experience with e-learning frameworks such as Adaptive Learning, ADDIE, CCAF, or other learning development approaches. Experience in writing scripts/interview guides for video, editing video, and creative design.
Manage multiple projects, work in different capabilities depending upon the project requirement.
Mitigate any potential risks and working closely with the core team.
Supporting project requirements - team, time, SME, logistics.
Work closely with the project owners and advising them on the overall impact of decision taken during the training development.
Create proposals for training solutions that are cost effective, relevant, and high impact.
Measure the effectiveness of the designed/existing training programs.



QUALIFICATIONS:

5-7 years hands on experience with each phase of the ADDIE model
Ability to work with SMEs to assess needs, define requirements and identify possible solutions
Hands-on experience and expertise with multiple authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Articulate Storyline, and Camtasia.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe.
Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
Effective Copy writing, instructional text, audio scripts / video scripts and the ability to quickly develop content.
