FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT/TREASURY MANAGER NEEDED IN TYSONS CORNER, VIRGINIA FOR OUR TECHNOLOGY SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS CLIENT
 
Our Technology Services and Solutions client is seeking a Treasury Manager who doubles as a Financial Accountant to join their team on-contract for 6 months.
 
This is a temporary treasury-related role focused on asset management and administration of internal Retirement plans (specifically 401k and global pensions), corporate risk management (corporate insurance policies), and M&A / divestiture transaction activity.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Retirement  
401(K)


  • Work with Custodian, Record Keeper, Investment managers, and ERISA counsel on USPS split
  • Cloning trust agreements, investment manager agreements
  • Manage custodian and record keeper project plans to ensure transfer accurate account set up and transfer of assets between trusts  
  • Administration including invoice payments, contract updates (as needed)

 
Domestic/Global Pensions

  • Help develop Long Term Return on Asset expectations for financial reporting
  • Collect investment data from global external investment managers/advisors, work with Treasurer, Controllership/Benefits Accounting, and Global Actuary and to finalize prior to approval by CFO; prepare deck for annual presentation; coordinate meetings
  • Be point of contact for auditors on pension related investment testing, domestic and foreign
  • Liaise with benefits/treasury to approve funding contributions
  • Attend quarterly Fiduciary meetings and prepare reports for presentation

 
Risk Management

  • Collect data for integration/policy renewal/spinoff, as required/needed and directed by team
  • Work with insurance brokers on coordinating policy integration for acquisitions, as needed

 
Spin-Off related Activity

  • Manage divestiture related activity for above related roles for our client

 
Other

  • Ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Coordinate spin-off related activity
  • Point of contact for transfer agent / shareowner services related activity

 
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Basic to moderate level understanding of investments and returns
  • Finance/Accounting background
  • Organization skills to be to follow through and follow-up on various requests and data collection efforts
  • Ability to work in a rapid paced environment and multi-task  
  • Capability of working with senior level management both internally and externally (advisors, consultants, custodian, managers, etc.)
  • Capacity to work independently and be proactive to achieve results
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • At least 3 - 5 years of work experience  
  • A background in pension/retirement/investments is a plus
