Job title: Videographer / AV Specialist
Working as part of the Event Technical Support and Media Productions team, the AV Support person will provide a variety  of services, including, but not limited to videography, sound reinforcement, live streaming, video conferencing, web conferencing (Skype, Zoom), and general AV support.  The Event Technical Support and Media Productions team provides a wide range of services to support the academic mission of the organization.
A proven track-record of customer service skills is required.  Ability to work quickly with grace under pressure required.  
Must be reliable.  
The ideal candidate will understand aesthetics as they relate to media production quality, and can effectively understand and troubleshoot IT and other technology-based systems.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Assist the Event Technical Support and Media Productions team in managing and executing AV Events on site. Includes lighting, audio, camera operation, and talent direction.
Must have an eye for composition and aesthetics as related to media productions.
Must be familiar with camera operation both professional and consumer.
The AV Support person must be able to work closely in a team environment, and implement feedback from various sources as necessary.
Can effectively understand and troubleshoot IT and other technology based systems
Must be able to meet deadlines, manage time/priorities and multi-task to handle both long term projects and those that require a quick turn-around.
Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material; observes brand standards, ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of end product.
Scout locations and assess possible obstacles related to event support.
Attend meetings as needed and offer development and production insight based on the request.
This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate for off hours events and completing urgent or quick-turn-around projects on a short timeline.
Positive Customer service skills
Microphone setup and sound reinforcement.
Videoconferencing, Web conferencing (WebEx, Skype, Zoom)
Knowledge of AV systems, ( Projection, Touch Panel controls)
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
Use of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and related applications
General computer knowledge
Ability to:
Must be able to work in high pressure, time sensitive situations.
Make clients  feel comfortable to elicit authentic conversation
Adhere to deadlines
Make creative decisions during events
