Modis is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator for a full-time position with our technology client.
 
Modis is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with 5 to 7 years’ experience supporting complex Microsoft based environments to join our client’s team.   
 
In the role of Windows Systems Administrator, you will:
 


  • Support and enhance existing infrastructure and services in a complex multi-tenant environment while enforcing standard operating procedures and security best practices
  • Address tier 2 escalations and perform root cause analysis
  • Optimize existing and new systems
  • Develop and enhance monitoring of systems
  • Prepare and update internal and client facing documentation

 
Required skills for the Windows System Administrator include:
 

  • 5 to 7 years of experience supporting complex Microsoft based environments
  • 4+ years of experience installing, administering and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems (10, 2012, 2016); and implementing GPOs, OU, resources, security principals, replication, DNS/name space, group policy management, domain/forest creation
  • Must be a SME in Windows Servers, file systems, DFSR, Active Directory and configuring complex NTFS ACL assignments
  • 3+ years Shell scripting (PowerShell, NT, SQL)
  • SQL server administration, maintenance plans, and security
  • Windows PKI
  • IIS Website configurations, optimizations and updates
  • SAN/NAS architecture knowledge
  • Data center network troubleshooting including IP fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, proxies and firewalls
  • Experience configuring and managing complex monitoring tools, such as Splunk, Solar Winds, SCOM
  • Experience working in a managed service provider
