Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential and free voluntary counseling service. Its purpose is to help employees improve and maintain their wellbeing, through the advice and support of a professional counselor.

Many people experience difficulties that can impact on their work and personal life, sometimes they can be easily resolved with the help of family or friends. But if the challenge persists it is important to get professional help. The EAP service is independent of your employer, and paid for by them.

Security clearances are only needed for people who are working for the Australian Government, and need to access classified information/resources as part of the work.

Checks are undertaken to ensure that people entrusted with security classified information/ resources are: eligible, suitable, have their identity established and are willing to comply with the standards that safeguard those resources against misuse.

To obtain a clearance you need to be sponsored by your employing government agency.
