About the client -

A state government organisation is seeking Change Lead and Change Managers - HRIS for an initial contract until April 2024. The business is committed to an ambitious digital and technology enabled transformation over the next 3 years. This transformation will uplift the digital backbone, implement common enterprise platforms and innovative technology driven business solutions. They have has chosen Workday for its new core HR platform. The Workday platform will include Core HCM, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Talent modules and will be integrated into the broader people technology platform that includes Kronos, Chris21 and Aurion. The project team will partner with internal stakeholders and a systems integrator to deliver this exciting project. The role is to effectively manage change required to enable the successful deployment of the Workday solution.

Change Manager will report to the Change Lead. The Change Managers focus on a particular stakeholder group and the OCM approach. The Change Lead, will lead a team of Change Managers

Role and responsibilities -

  • Lead the change management workstream of the project. Steer the scope and shape of work, ensuring organisational wide links are made.
  • Lead a team of change professionals, ensuring deliverables are coordinated across the full scope of work.
  • Oversee the management of all change management aspects of the project lifecycle including planning, benefit realisation, adoption and closure.
  • Develop, implement and monitor integrated change management strategies and plans. Including deep understanding of the depth of the business process change, potential issues with technology adoption and the degree of effort required to drive faster adoption, higher utilisation and proficiency with the changes that impact a diverse workforce.
  • Use a holistic approach to identify change impacts and choose appropriate and relevant change treatments.
  • Identify and manage project stakeholders by quickly understanding the organisation's complex structure and unique characteristics. Ensure high level engagement with stakeholders and ensure all interested parties are managed for the change effort.
  • Develop and track effective change adoption metrics, including assessment and validation of organisational readiness.

Skills and experience -

Change Lead

  • Extensive experience in both operational and consulting change management roles supporting large-scale system and business process transformation change initiatives.
  • Passion for developing creative ways to optimise engagement and learning, and proven experience applying innovative and creative solutions to resolve identified issues and to drive change adoption.
  • Ability to measure, demonstrate and articulate the change impact to the business, of specific process and service changes and the adoption effectiveness of the change to make these tangible for employees.
  • Comfortable with a complete range of current change management tools and techniques, including digital media, and how to use them in an integrated, strategic and creative way.

Change Manager

  • Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Ability to measure, demonstrate and articulate the change impact to the business, of specific process and service changes and the adoption effectiveness of the change to make these tangible for employees.
  • Excellent engagement, relationship building, and expectation management skills with stakeholders of all organisational levels across a diverse and complex environment, to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving outcomes.
