A large local government organisation is seeking a contract Program Manager for initial 6 months contract to be based in Brisbane.

The Program Manager will lead a program of work to oversee delivery of a series of projects to refresh the department's core line of business system, focussing on a new user interface and services layer, a transition to cloud services and the remediation of related ICT systems.

The Program Manager will ensure that appropriate governance, assurance and project management practices are implemented as per departmental and Queensland government requirements.

You will be required to -

  • Manage the delivery of ICT products to agreed criteria using relevant lifecycles and methodologies
  • Manage the delivery of ICT products to agreed criteria using relevant lifecycles and methodologies
  • Lead program and project planning and delivery, across a wide range of system and technical projects.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the program and ensure it remains aligned to the approved business case and other governance documentation.
  • Lead procurement negotiations with external suppliers and managing the ongoing relationship and delivery with regards to executed contracts.
  • Manage program funding and forecasting, ensuring that budgets are maintained in accordance with requirements.
  • Manage the change across the organisation to ensure to ensure the program receives ongoing stakeholder support and benefits are realised.
  • Assist with the capability uplift of the ICT area as part of the transition from program and project activities to business as usual support
