One of our state government clients are seeking a Digital Innovation Lead to join their team in Brisbane. This role will be a 12 month contract, with a potential 24 months of extensions.
This role will be required to work within a dynamic and multidisciplinary team and the need to be flexible in working across boundaries and undertaking any task required to deliver an outcome. As such, the proposed candidates must be resilient and resourceful.
Opportunities are scoped and prioritised, and Proof of Concepts (PoC's) are undertaken to evaluate and capture learnings which then inform potential future project investment decisions.
A Proof of Concept is a short-term exercise to validate whether a specific concept or solution has the potential for real-world application. PoC's offer a quick, low-cost, and low-risk way to test ideas and explore new and emerging technologies.
Capabilities and Experience:
The Digital Innovation Lead is required to work as part of a team driving this new program within the department.
The Digital Innovation Lead will run discovery workshops to facilitate ideation and innovation in new solutions, test new ideas with relevant internal and external stakeholders and develop Proof of Concept submissions to progress priority ideas.
Lead procurement of services to complete the Proof of Concepts and manage suppliers to complete work packages based on the state business objectives. This will include reporting on the findings from the Proof-of-Concept initiatives and writing business cases to progress initiatives into project pipeline.

- Leading ideation workshops.
- Engagement with stakeholder and customer groups.
- Industry and market scanning and research.
- Exploring solution options.
- Leading Proof of Concept initiatives.
- Development of business cases, briefs, and funding submissions.
- Presenting ideas and prototypes to stakeholders.
- Reporting program achievements and progress.
