Role Purpose

Akkodis Australia are seeking Multiple multi disciplines Architects to take part in a large, well funded project with a key client of ours.

We are seeking:

Solution Lead:

Leading the engineering and solution design team in the delivery of technical artefacts and managing technical assurance through the associated design gate reviews and design approvals in accordance with the client Framework.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• 5-10 years' experience in leading a team in the integration, operation and maintenance of ICT based mission systems
• Demonstrable experience in designing and documenting software interfaces and interoperability between IT systems
• Experience with various architecture styles and able to tailor architectures to specific needs of the project
• Previous experience in the management, integration, operation or maintenance of ICT based.
• Skilled and effective communicator, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work in a team environment, lead meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Effective planner with efficient time management skills
• Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills
• Technical experience with:
  1. ISREW mission systems
  2. SOA concepts and models
  3. API concepts (REST and JSON)
  4. ISM and cybersecurity concepts
  5. Defence support and sustainment patterns
  6. Network routing and protocols
  7. Messaging concepts (specifically SOAP)
  8. Storage architectures
  9. Microsoft, RHLE and Cisco product stacks
  10. ESB platforms (MuleSoft, IBM, Oracle)

System Architect:

In consultation with the Solution Lead, responsible for solutions to meet the requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Experience leading the development of designs for complex solutions that align to client patterns and ensure consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external, and internal customers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external parties and participate in reviews and approvals
• Understanding of, and ability to, research policy and strategy for the selection of solution architecture components, and co-ordinate design activities
• Knowledge of relevant Standards (corporate, industry, national and international) and ensuring Standards are adhered to
• Technical experience with:
  1. Application integration
  2. ISREW mission systems
  3. SOA concepts and models
  4. API concepts (REST and JSON)
  5. Network routing and protocols
  6. Messaging concepts (specifically SOAP)
  7. Storage architectures
  8. Microsoft, RHLE and ESB product stacks

System Integrators:

Leading the integration design, delivery and managing associated design gate reviews and design approvals for web-based ICT systems associated with the scope of work.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Demonstrable experience in designing and documenting software interfaces and interoperability between IT-based mission systems
• Skilled and effective communicator, both oral and written
• Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders
• Effective planner with efficient time management skills
• Above average troubleshooting skills
• Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills
• Technical experience with:
  1. Application integration
  2. ISREW mission systems
  3. SOA concepts and models
  4. API concepts (REST and JSON)
  5. Network routing and protocols
  6. Messaging concepts (specifically SOAP)
  7. Storage architectures
  8. Microsoft, RHLE and ESB product stacks

Security Architects:

Responsible for producing the AIR7000Ph1B SIE Integration Project security documentation, and facilitating the process associated with the security certification and accreditation of its systems.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Experience in facilitating the security accreditation process.
• Strong background in network security
• Knowledge and experience with Government security frameworks such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
• Discuss security implications from high-level and detailed designs with internal and external stakeholders, and develop pragmatic solutions to minimise security risk
• Assimilate information from multiple sources to develop the following security documentation:
  1. System Overview Document (SOD)
  2. Statement of Applicability (SOA)
  3. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  4. Security Risk Management Plan (SRMP)
  5. System Security Plan (SSP)
  6. Incident Response Plan (IRP)

• Ability to establish strong relationships with certification consultants to ensure security documentation is fit for purpose.
• Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to provide outcomes in an environment with limited information and uncertainty
• Effective planner with efficient time management skills.

Please note: Our client is seeking candidates with a current TSPV clearance, or candidates with a current Negative Vetting Level 2 clearance with the willingness to undergo a TSPV clearance. Successfully candidates with an NV2 clearance are able to commence the role with the TSPV clearance process is underway.
