The Role

Permanent Opportunity

Paying up to $140,000 + Super (depending on experience)

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Document Composition Analyst/ Programmers which involves any staffing requirements, resource planning, scheduling, quoting, administration, technical guidance, quality, team development, performance appraisal, and general leadership and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan the Document Composition team's workload, managing risks and as necessary, negotiating business priorities with stakeholders in order to deliver optimal implementation outcomes.
  • Allocate work across the team, set timeframes, and ensure work is developed in accordance with the development methodology.
  • Monitor progress of assigned work and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Report on resource levels, work schedules, and WIP status.
  • Ensure all procedures are compliant.
  • Develop technical and general competencies of the team in, programming tools, platform and products.
  • Negotiate with internal and external service providers.
  • Represent IT Implementations in internal or client facing pre or post engagement meetings to promote services and capability, or to report project status.
  • Manage resource levels to meet business needs, while maintaining high levels of resource utilization and cost recovery to the business.
  • Ensure that HEAT call assignments for either production issues or quotation requests are acknowledged and completed within the agreed SLA.
  • Ensure internal quality issues as escalated via the CARE system, are acknowledged, and Incident Reports are provided.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of business systems and processes, including procedures to improve the quality and effectiveness services.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Ensure all policies, including Business Management System and Security policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure Work Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that you, and employees within your area of responsibility, always taking care to work in a safe manner and report workplace hazards.

Key Skills:

  • Programming language experience in Document Composition technologies including Dialogue, Emtex, PreS and IBS
  • Leadership of a medium sized team of analyst programmers both onshore and offshore.
  • Experience with processing inbound and outbound, business documents, either electronic or printed.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the operational aspects of a document management outsourcing business.
  • Highly developed time management skills.
  • In depth understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Ability to pre-empt and identify key project risks and implement strategies to minimise and mitigate identified risks.
  • Background and intimate understanding of IT related quality systems and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Experience in data transformation concepts.

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Industry experience in a similar IT management role
  • Extensive knowledge on the creation of outbound business documents

Additional Information

  • Additional security clearances may be required
  • Required to work reasonable additional hours as may be necessary to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Some travel may be required to various sites, interstate or overseas to meet requirements of the role.
  • May be needed to be on-call from time to time to meet requirements of the role.
  • Required to participate in workplace fit-for-work initiatives (including stretching programs).
