About the Company
Our client specializes in providing comprehensive process control, OT and electrical engineering, procurement, construction, and management services to the extractive, infrastructure, and manufacturing industries across Australia. With their continued growth, they are currently seeking Communications/Network/Infrastructure Specialists at both Junior and Senior experience levels for their Perth office.
Role Responsibilities:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design, deployment, and support of cutting-edge technology infrastructure projects across multiple industries. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on the planning, testing, and implementation of industrial network projects throughout all project phases, from conceptualization to ongoing operations.
- Providing valuable consulting services to our esteemed clients.
- Ensuring the successful execution of technology infrastructure changes by delivering high-quality technical work.
Qualifications:
Desirable qualifications include practical experience in configuring, developing, operating, and implementing technology hardware in industrial, mining, or resource sectors. Familiarity with the following hardware products is preferred:
- Cisco (required)
- Ruggedcom
- Hirschmann / Connexium
- Moxa
- Stratix
- Dell
Technical Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
- TCP/IP Process Control Systems Networks, including protocols such as Modbus TCP and Ethernet/IP.
- Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing.
- Firewalls.
- Redundant communications technologies, such as RSTP, MRP, and REP.
- Network architecture design.
- Wireless networking routing and switching.
- Network Management Systems (NMS).
- Quality of Service (QoS) implementation.
- Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions.
- LTE Networking.
- CCTV and VoIP technologies.
- Dell Architectures.
- Hyper-V / VMware Technologies.
Skills Required:
To excel in this role, the following skills are necessary:
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and industry conventions, particularly within the mining sector.
- Proficiency in developing comprehensive technical documentation.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.
- Industrial ethernet experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
