Our client is one of the leading global technology and consulting company.They are currently looking forward to hire Design engineer for System.

OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Design Engineer is responsible for designing ICT Systems, IP Networks, Structured Cabling,

Fibre Optics, Power and associated infrastructure for security and transport infrastructure projects,

ensuring compliance of contract (SLA) specifications, deliverables, customer requirements and

budget.

 Design ICT Systems, IP Networks, Structured Cabling, Fibre Optics, Power and associated

infrastructure ensuring deliverables meet agreed standards (international, local Company

and project)

 Survey sites and prepare designs in line with contracts, RFQ's, technical specifications, AS

standards and best practices.

 Prepare design drawings; schematics, rack layouts, wiring diagrams, mounting details, and

product data sheets.

 Prepare cable schedules, fibre patch schedules, asset lists, Bills of Materials.

 Interface with various stakeholders, internal and external, as required ensuring information

is up-to-date and readily available to the relevant stakeholders

 Actively participate in meetings: CAB, project, periodical reviews

 Assess risks and recommend risk minimisation process and procedures

 Prepare and distribute regular and ad hoc reports ensuring that Design Lead is updated on

progress - providing as much notice as possible on potential delays, risks and impact on

deliverables

 Ensure that all relevant deliverables meet SLA and customer expectations

 Recommend and advise Design Lead of changes in design that may be beneficial in terms

of improved service levels and/or cost reduction

 Alert relevant staff of any irregularity, lack of compliance, lack of adherence and any related

issues whether actual or potential, concerning business activities that could or does have a

significant risk implication for the company.

 Adhere at all times to the Company's quality control, occupational, health, safety and

environmental requirements to perform core tasks and duties effectively.

 Other duties as required from time to time in line with skills, experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

 Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Telecommunications) or advanced trade qualification in

relevant discipline such as Electro-Technology, IT, Engineering, Computer Science or

equivalent experience

 Experience in design, construction, As Built and Asset Register Documentation capture and

processes.

 Experience in transport market - preferred

 3+ years' experience in a similar position

 Experience in IP Networks, Windows Server & VMWare environments

 Experience in CCTV, Access Control, SCADA, VoIP/Intercom - desirable

 Competent in the use of MS Office, MS Project and Autocad

 Good understanding of operations (Engineering, manufacturing & logistics, product

introduction), financial and analytical skills
