Our client the reputed giant is seeking Senior SAP payroll officer.The Payroll Officer provides accurate and reliable payroll services for managers and employees, including senior contract managers, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation, employment contracts, and enterprise agreements policies and procedures. The payroll officer is responsible for the day-to-day payroll processing operations including the development and maintenance of payroll systems and internal controls and the reporting of payroll financial data.
- Calculate, process, examine and verify all payroll source documentation and validation of associated payroll reports
- Verify and process appointments; calculate, process and check employee termination payments
- Deliver timely and accurate payment of employee salaries
- Ensure employee records and entitlements are accurate and up to date
- Assist and/or review employee annual, long service, sick, family, study, personal, community and
- parental leave applications where required, to ensure all payroll leave transactions are compliant
- Salary Packaging
- Provide advice and support for the management of employee salary packaging
- Ensure salary packaging is maintained in accordance with the conditions of employment,
- Salary Sacrifice guidelines and relevant legislation
- Assist with annual reconciliations for salary packaging deductions
- Compliance
- Ensure the conditions of employment, and all related payroll policies and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of employee information is maintained at all times
- Ensure accurate taxation deductions from employee salaries are made and paid to ATO within required legislative timeframes
- Ensure accurate superannuation payments are deducted from employee's salaries and are paid to the Superannuation clearing house within required legislative timeframes. Ensure the timely submission of STP payments are made following each payment runand highlight business process improvements in the payroll function.

Mandatory skills
- Knowledge and experience in payroll and entitlement functions to perform the duties of the position
- Knowledge and experience with Ellipse, SAP or an equivalent payroll system
- Relevant knowledge of legislation, and familiarization of Conditions of Employment, policies and procedures relating to payroll
- Ability to work independently and remotely, be highly organized and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable engagement with people at all levels to understand requirements and achieve business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, research and analyse data to identify causes and develop sound solutions
- Ability to effectively inform, influence, resolve conflict and negotiate with employees at all levels
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and SharePoint)
