Modis becomes partner of choice again

Posted 12 February 2019

Modis are pleased to announce that the NSW Department of Justice (DoJ), and Courts & Tribunal Services NSW (CaTS), have chosen Modis as their partner of choice to provide application support services for their Jury Management System (JMS).

Successful through a tender process, Modis will also act as the official Reseller for the JMS. This will allow every court jurisdiction in Australia and abroad to purchase an innovative solution that was developed in NSW by CaTS.

Following the successful launch of the $4.2 million system in NSW, in 2014, the online JMS makes it easier and faster for jurors to navigate their way through the justice system. Peter Hawkins, who leads Modis’ Solutions and Innovation Practice said, “Modis is excited to add this unique cloud-based solution to our solution portfolio and we will ensure the JMS continues to optimise the jury management selection process by streamlining and automating the selection activities and improving service quality and efficiency.”

This JMS system improves accessibility and responsiveness and enables clear and consistent messaging for a quality user experience. It promotes a self-service opportunity where users can interact at times that are convenient for them. Through the user-centred design, there is low on-going maintenance, low training costs and innovations are understood and embraced. Outcomes have shown to cut processing time by ~75% making this platform more effective and efficient for everyone involved.

We're thrilled to take such an innovative solution to market. The JMS improves stakeholder engagement, is a digital platform to remove manual processes, and in return will provide a process and cost saving to court jurisdictions worldwide. Modis are proud to be a partner in showcasing NSW government innovation.
