Position Highlights

The focus of this role will be working within the SDLC to ensure a high quality product to our customers. This includes designing and implementing test plans and tests, executing test cases, reviewing system requirements, and tracking quality assurance metrics.

Key Role Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Reviews and analyzes system specifications
  • Collaborates with QA Engineers to validate functionalities 
  • Executes test cases (manual or automated) and analyzes results
  • Document testing phases and defects, reports bugs and errors to development teams
  • Prepares file defect reports and reports test progress
  • Reviews software bug reports, highlights and troubleshoots problem areas
  • Conducts post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Works with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manual testing
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, approaches, methodologies and software development life cycle, and ability to apply the knowledge in daily operations
  • Experience specifying, establishing, and managing test environments and test data for functional testing projects
  • Experience using different test strategies to create test plans that cover positive, negative, and edge case testing 
  • Experience in testing web applications and web APIs
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, SOAP, JSON, XML and HTML
  • Basic knowledge in SQL database queries 
  • Knowledge of cross-browser testing tools (e.g. BrowserStack)
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
