Position Highlights

QA automation engineers design automated tests to validate the functionality of web applications. Create the initial test designs, write the scripts, install the automation tests, and report the results.

Test automation engineers are responsible for conducting automated tests to ensure the software created by developers fits its purpose.

Key Role Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Develop and automate tests for software validation
  • Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements
  • Prove for scalability and performance of a software
  • Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole
  • Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas
  • Prepare file defect reports and report test progress
  • Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas
  • Self-driven and goal oriented
  • Team player
  • Track the development progress and follow early testing best practices
  • Understand both the business objectives and the technical implementation
  • Define and implement quality assurance practices and procedures in the team
  • Work with business owners to develop acceptance criteria
  • Review and analyse in detail the system specifications
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
  • Document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Prepare file defect reports and report test progress
  • Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

•    4+ years in automation testing

  • Experience with usual testing tools like Cypress or Selenium.
  • Experience in load testing (e.g. K6)
  • Experience creating test strategies, test plans and aligning those to the best practices.
  • Experience specifying, establishing, and managing test environments and test data for functional automation testing projects
  • User-level knowledge of API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
  • Knowledge in SQL database queries
  • Knowledge of cross-browser testing tools (e.g. BrowserStack)
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
