Business Process Analyst Contract Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote
Reporting to the Director, business transformation, this individual will get exposure to a wide range of business units and capabilities. They will act as a key liaison to leadership and play a vital role in the multi-year transformation of Financial Operations.
Responsibilities: Facilitate the identification of business and IT process improvements
Work collaboratively with team members to address high-priority backlog items
Work with the Product Owner and or project leads to conduct analysis on business requests with a focus on the links between processes and systems
Analyze and documents how systems, processes, procedures and clients will be impacted by future development
Work with internal and external teams to facilitate requirement interviews and workshops
Analyze and define user requirements and translate them into system requirements/user stories
Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings to analyze current state operational processes, tools and systems
Conduct in depth process analysis and identify automation/digitization opportunities
Conduct cost benefit analysis to calculate the benefits that each new project will deliver
Develop and or re-design new processes to support stakeholders
Lead business process discussions and provide advice on how to make processes more efficient/lean
Create clear and concise process documentation
Coach and train employees on lean design Required Skills:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of varying requirements gathering and elicitation techniques
Skilled at finding hidden requirements, edge cases, and a “desire to break” attitude
Knowledge of overall financial services industry
Exceptional facilitator and the ability to run large workshops
Skilled in test execution and understanding the outcomes
Proficient in process mapping and process documentation
Proficient in change management (training and coaching
Strong analytical skills
Comfortable with data requirements and related data activities
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate both complex business and technical concepts and align organization on decisions
