Project Specialist / Coordinator (focused on IFRS 9)

Contract Duration:  6 months

Location:  Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Business Project Management Office (PMO) with planning and oversight of IFRS 9
  • Support key PMO governance processes including program reporting dashboards & material, preparation meetings, RAID management and resource forecasting
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external team members aligning and controlling an integrated plan with multiple workstreams at the Program Level
  • Work with Workstream Project Managers to ensure their schedules and resource forecasts are updated, if changed the appropriate change controls have occurred within the defined criteria.
  • Provide support for budget and resource forecast needs
  • Work with various Business Groups, assisting with their overall program needs
  • Produce reporting material to document the monthly program status
  • Maintain, organize, and control access to the program SharePoint site
  • Support PMO and broader program with meeting invitations and manage PMO Inbox
  • Documentation and follow-up of meeting minutes and action items
  • Be advised, given the global nature of this project, the new hire may be asked to join the occasional early or late call in support of the client's  Asia peers and their work
Required Skills:
  • A University or College diploma / degree
  • Education and /or experience in Project Management
  • Project management knowledge and exposure to large projects with multiple workstreams and inter-dependencies
  • Excellent user of Excel
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Confident user of PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Visio, OneNote and experience with Microsoft Project plus Tableau would be an asset
  • Proactive, able to manage multiple requests/tasks with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage projects in a matrix organization
  • Ability to create project plans for complex projects with many interrelated paths
  • Ability to hold project team members and other stakeholders accountable to ensure that projects can progress according to plan
  • An understanding of risk management process and able to recognize and escalate risks and issues appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (active listening, written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
