Job Title: Technical Specialist - Fleet Net Radio System

Company Overview:

Our government client is seeking a skilled Technical Specialist with expertise in Fleet Net Radio Systems to join our team and support our clients in achieving seamless and reliable communication solutions.

Position Overview:

As a Technical Specialist with Fleet Net Radio System experience, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of communication systems based on Fleet Net Radio technology. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that our clients' communication networks operate efficiently and meet their specific needs.

Responsibilities:

Fleet Net Radio System Deployment:  Lead the deployment and installation of Fleet Net Radio Systems for clients, including hardware and software setup.

Configuration and Optimization:  Configure and optimize Fleet Net Radio Systems to meet client requirements and ensure optimal performance.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:  Perform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to keep systems operating smoothly.  Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Fleet Net Radio Systems promptly.

System Upgrades:  Plan and execute system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.

Client Support:  Provide technical support to clients, including training, issue resolution, and responding to inquiries.

Documentation:  Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and technical procedures.

Quality Assurance:  Implement quality control processes to ensure the reliability and security of communication systems.

Collaboration:  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to deliver integrated communication solutions.

Technical Expertise:  Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Fleet Net Radio Systems.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

·       Knowledge of the Fleet Net radio system and telecommunications system including microwave, mobile, portable and base radios and repeaters, standby and back-up power systems, alarm reporting system, telephone and radio system switches, communications consoles, communication centre voice recording systems and network tie lines.

·        Knowledge of project management methodology, analytical tools and processes to carry out project plans and schedules, estimate resources and conduct technical and analysis of proposals or end-user requirements.

·       Strong knowledge of communication protocols and networking concepts.

·       Proficiency in programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, C++) is a plus.

·       Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

·       Ability to work independently and manage projects efficiently.
