Senior Reporting Analyst/Developer

Duration:  6 months

Location:  Downtown Toronto

Our client is undergoing a 3 year technology transformation to increase maturity and capabilities for business intelligence throughout our global portfolio. They are in a transformation stage where the goal is to apply advanced analytics to monitor ongoing performance and identify opportunities for continuously improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable access to relevant business reports
  • Reporting and dashboards for better insights and visualizations
  • Global alignment and standardization on reporting
  • Oversight and data monitoring capabilities
  • Analytical capabilities to provide better insight on specified data and opportunities
  • Working to support the Product Owner you will be accountable for the planning, requirements gathering, development, delivery and documentation of CRE BI Reporting solutions working with an Agile scrum team.
  • Required Skills:

  •  Advanced degree (i.e., Master’s degree) or equivalent analytical experience required
  •  7+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Data Management or related field with hands on experience supporting management reporting (i.e., Comparative Analysis, Financial Analytics, Predictive Modelling, Forecasting, etc.)
  •  2-4 years’ experience using Tableau, Power BI Advanced user
  •  5+ years’ experience using SQL including SSIS packages, advanced query construction
  • Nice to Have Skills/Experience:

  •  Advanced experience in requirements gathering (requirements workshops, building dashboard prototypes)
  •  Advanced experience with Business Intelligence (preferably with Tableau)
  •  Knowledge and proficiency with SQL (i.e., can build and test and tune complex queries)
  •  Expert ability in manipulating large relational databases for optimal performance
  •  Ability to merge large datasets from multiples sources
  •  Advanced usage of Excel macros and program modules
  •  Advanced knowledge of various reporting and analytical environments and technology solutions
  •  Good knowledge of data quality control and QA (quality assurance) approaches and when appropriate to leverage
  •  Excellent communication skills
