Must Haves:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting assessments on I&IT solutions against industry controls (e.g., NIST, ISF, ISO), GO-ITS standards, and policies.

Nice to Have:

  • Public Sector Experience is an asset.

  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in Ontario, Canada, and able to obtain and maintain security clearances.

  • Information Security: Handle and secure sensitive information, ensuring due diligence around storage and modification of documents, records retention policies, identity management, and other controls.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Government Policies: Knowledge and experience with the security and IT policies/standards of the Ontario government.

  • Public Sector Understanding: Experience with operational optimization in a unionized Public Sector environment.

  • Legislation Knowledge: Understanding of public policy objectives, organizational culture, and relevant legislation and policies.

  • Risk Management: Demonstrated experience in organization maturity risk assessments, industry-standard risk assessments, cyber security health checks, strategic cyber maturity advice, and security-by-design advice.

  • Assessment Phases: Demonstrated experience in scoping, asset classification, threats, vulnerabilities, and risks & residual risks post-mitigation responses in risk assessments.

  • I&IT Solutions: Experience conducting assessments on I&IT solutions against industry controls, GO-ITS standards, and policies.

  • Technical Analysis: Analyzing technical documentation, conducting interviews, preparing risk assessments, calculating qualitative risk values, and drafting executive risk reports.

Communication and Writing

  • Documentation Skills: Strong communication skills to prepare documentation, reports, reviews, and assessments.

  • Presentation: Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively in a user-friendly manner.

  • Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients.
