Contract Duration:  12 months

Location: Kitchener ON

The successful candidate will support and assist in establishing proper delivery plans for strategic projects, reaching set targets and overall maintenance of the strategic programs budget.  The job consists of a mixture of office work, field visits and off premise meetings with municipalities/consultants and other departments.  The job requires employees that are flexible in hours of operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist in establishing proper delivery plans for strategic project.
  • Promote collaboration, participation and address conflicts
  • Assist team in project/program targets and overall budget of strategic program
  • Provide service for customer affecting orders by accessing various systems
  • Assist various teams in delivery by removing impediments within ones control
  • Consolidate, maintain and monitor project progress/plans/schedules, prepare a status review for various meetings
  • Lead project delivery calls with vendors and pursue continuous improvement of our processes
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
  • Monitor and manage network facilities using various computer-based programs e.g. Network X, SAP & HSA
  • Required Skills:
  • Minimum 1 year working experience within Access network (Telecom or related industry)
  • Ability to make quick independent and effective decisions  
  • Proven desire and success in continuous improvements; never accepting the status quo  
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively with diverse teams both internal and external to the company.
  • Communication – excellent verbal and written communication skills and aptitude for articulating complex concepts to different audiences, with clarity and persuasiveness
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Experience in people leadership role
  • Proven project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Critical thinking skills with a demonstrated judgement to know relevant questions to ask and assemble the right individuals to provide responsive solutions
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent working experience in using tools such as, HSA reporting, SAP, eSpace, Webex, Geospatial tool, etc.
