Sr. Technical Writer Contract Duration: 7 months Location: Remote Reliability Clearance required.

Our client is seeking a Technical Writer from a technical background (understanding of coding), as they will be writing the user guides for developers.

Responsibilities:

Develop API documentation for API users, such as reference docs and developer guides including sample code.

Establish best practices for technical writing and process documentation across department.

Create sample code for technologies such as Java / Groovy / Python

Analyze and document how systems, processes, procedures currently function and make updates to align with future development.

Complete needs, impact and gap analysis on operational processes and procedures.

Required Skills:

3+ years of technical writing/ process documentation skills for both a technical and non-technical audience

Deep knowledge of relevant technologies, processes, systems, and capabilities related to supporting a microservice architecture (ex. REST APIs, web services, etc.)

Experience using Git, Markdown and Swagger

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Resilient and ability to navigate changing environments

Knowledge of overall financial services industry

Strong communication skills with ability to communicate both complex business and technical concepts

Advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical skills
