The applications used by Hospitals/labs manage the instruments. In order for an instrument to connect correctly, a proper mapping needs to be done to ensure all necessary is set for connection.
For this, there are drivers to communicate with each instrument.
The lab can release 40 drivers each month - but the instruments are in older versions which are lacking many points to ensure a good connection.
The need is to create a basic manual to ensure the instruments connectivity without the need to have drivers.
There is a manual in place - which is too long (300 pages), even after reading them, doubts arise, and becomes difficult to implement in the ones that follow this protocol.
The objective is to define a "normalisation" subset, stricter that does not allow so much freedom. Strong experience on C# - Coding required will be low level.
The result the project wants to achieve is:
- Define the requirements.
- Define standard.
- Refine standard defined down to ie. 10 mandatory points
- Create a software that will validate the standard
- Software will validate each instrument, based on pre-defined attributes which will be used by manufacturers to find out which standards need attention for an instrument to connect
- With these, instruments will pass the tests in a faster/smarter way
- HL7 protocol will be mainly used
- Proof of concept to run in 6 months - this would be done by client
- A Simple interface with 2 screens would be used
Strong experience on C# - Coding required will be low level, communications protocols.
Developer with background on C++ (hardware / firmware)- is a strong plus.
Driver catalogue checklist creation based in specific protocol.
Have worked with instruments communications protocols and code with it, understand drivers and firmware.
Working with the Lab teams to generate a check list protocol to ensure instruments compatibility.
Develop a "stronger" subset check list, to increase efficiency.
Strong experience with HL7 protocol
Cloud Services knowledge is good to have.
