The company

My client, one of the UK's leading financial services companies, who have won multiple awards for being an exceptional place to work and are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to drive and deliver complex IT change.

The role

As Senior Project Manager you will be required to drive and deliver complex IT change in line with time, cost and quality criteria, working collaboratively with stakeholders to take technical projects from initiation through to closure. Creating and owning project plans; acting as the main point of contact for third parties in relation to delivery and proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies in line with internal and external standards, to ensure successfully delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities

� As mentioned with the IT Change Framework, you will be required to lead IT change projects from initiation through to closure, taking ownership for developing and driving plans.

� Manage and control a Project Management System for each project making sure they are in line with audit standards.

� Forecast, control and monitor expenditure and seek authorisation for all project costs, reforecasting where appropriate to ensure it is in line with budgetary targets.

� Identify, secure and manage internal and external delivery resources.

� Direct, lead, manage and control proof of concept activities to reduce risk, assess Business Cases and clarify requirements for communication to suppliers.

� Direct, lead and assure that all project deliverables are in line with the required parameters of cost, time and quality

Experience required

� Ideally a Project Management accreditation

� Examples of successfully leading full lifecycle complex technology projects

� To be able to multitask and execute numerous activities simultaneously

� Provide examples of relationship building and influencing key and senior stakeholders both internally and third-party delivery teams

� Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project

� Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

� Experience of managing project budgets and providing financial reporting

� Have advanced verbal and written communication skills so that they are capable of providing summaries of large volumes of data into relevant points.

� Able to provide a detailed level of resource planning

� Financial services experience is also desirable
