Overview

Job Role: Business Analyst

Location: 90% Remote with occasional travel to the Midlands

Rate: £530 - £635 pd inside IR35

Contract: 6-month contract, extension possibility

Please note: The role will require the contractor to be SC Cleared

Our client is a very large company that is undergoing a big transformation program, great organisation to work for and very well-established name among contractors.

Responsibilities

  • To lead workstreams in the development, evolution and implementation of the operating model, with the expectation that the expedite can be delivered through:
  • Accelerated decision making
  • Investment decisions to mitigate risk and maximise opportunities
  • Transparency of roles and decision rights
  • More effective organisation design
  • Reduction of duplication
  • Application of alternative incentive models
  • To engage and liaise with senior stakeholders to develop insight and present and promote key options, process and methodology
  • To develop and publish formal written and visual models for illustrating the operating model
  • To drive the change and adoption of the operating model through communications, engagement and business change activities
  • To coach and support members through transition to a Target Operating model

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to understand and specify complex processes to support development of a new operating model
  • Develop and draft standard operating procedures to align activities across functions and organisations
  • Develop processes to support Management Information productions for new functions
  • Provide Business Intelligence support to senior managers and executives
  • Author governance /operating model documentation for internal/external audiences
  • Analyse business information issues and propose mitigating solutions to resolve
  • Prepare and present Business Information reports, reviews, and analysis
  • Ability to present to senior management and executives in large defence organisations and contractors
  • Ability to use communication systems for virtual meetings and reviews

Candidate Specification

  • Self-starter with the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent time management
  • Happy to work remotely and as part of a larger team
  • Experienced in leading BI teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and knowledge within the defence sector is a distinct advantage
  • Experienced in Requirements Management process
  • Experienced in development of Standard Operating Processes as part of a documentation hierarchy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent skills with Information Technology and Information Systems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
