The EMEA Rates eTrading team is responsible for providing Front Office and server-side support to multiple eTrading applications used by the Rates line of business in London and Paris. We are looking for a team member to join the current Front Office Support team with focus on Rates. This is a high-profile role working in an ever-changing environment and demands an individual with flexibility, acumen and the ability to assimilate lots of information quickly, with focus on Incident and Problem Management. This is a critical role requiring a highly motivated and dedicated staff who can provide procedural and technical support within the Support team to the Rates Business.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities / deliverables are as follows (but not limited to):

  • First point of contact for end business users in Rates eTrading
  • Ownership and delivery of on-boarding support of or processes into the MAPS organization
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
  • Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
  • Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
  • Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
  • Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements
  • Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
  • Release implementation and enforcement of change management policy
  • Major Incident management and Problem Management

Key Requirements

The core set of technical skills that are beneficial in the role are:

* Operating systems: Linux primarily

* ITIL Certification or performed in a role that demonstrates application of the principles

* Scripting languages: Unix Shell, Python

* SQL (intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, stored procedures)

* Job scheduling (Autosys) & batch management

* Well rounded understanding of infrastructure disciplines (network, server, storage, messaging)

* Enterprise Monitoring - ITRS Geneos

* Experience with exchange connectivity - e.g. ION MarketView and the main ECN's (Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MTS, etc)

* Familiarity with Bloomberg and Reuters

  • Understating of client enquiries (RFQs) and client streaming for the D2C market

Product knowledge - Rates eTrading SME, RFQ flows, Government Bonds, Agencies, Supras, Futures, Swaps, Inflation-linked products, US Treasuries and Bills

Market data - yield curves, funding curves, volatility / correlation surfaces (general understanding / familiarity)

Rate: £400-550 a day. Permanent options available.

IR35: Inside

Location: London, St Pauls. 3 days onside, 2 days remote. (HYBRID)

Duration: 12 months with extensions.
