One of the worlds leading staffing and engineering companies is seeking a Lead Communication Specialist, ideally with experience within IT projects, Digital transformation and change projects but this isn't essential.

Title: Communication Lead specialist - 12 month contract + Potential Extension

Location - Remote.

Contract duration: 12 month contract + extension

Day Rate: £450-£500 inside IR35 via umbrella.

As part of a passionate and energetic team you will get to be responsible for designing and implementing the Communications strategy of our clients IT function whilst supporting its transformation journey.

Your experience in digital transformation change experience working alongside project team members would be highly beneficial for this role. The role reports in a solid line to the Group Head of Communications and in a dotted line to the Group Senior Vice President in IT & Digital.


  • Strategic Communications Planning - Development and implementation of a strategic communications plan which is aligned with the business' direction to invest in a New Front-Office System.
  • Positioning and Messaging - Develop, socialize, and ensure uniform delivery of appropriate company-level messaging to all relevant internal stakeholders, setting the bar and providing quality control for strategic communications materials.
  • Audience Specific Communications Campaigns (Storytelling etc.) - Develop, conceptualize, and deliver communications campaigns, which position the project that inspire and excite internal audiences and help them to understand "what is this project about / the value to our everyday lives within the company / what are the benefits for each audience.
  • Content and Materials - Development, management and maintenance of all communications content and materials, presentations, videos, and other company-level multimedia content etc.
  • Stakeholder Management - Comfortable in dealing with different stakeholders in a matrix environment. Effective communicator who can facilitate a two-way dialogue between the project team and key stakeholders (eg. partner and engage with Salesforce and program stakeholders).


  • Experience in Communications and ideally experienced in transformation projects gained within Staffing, Consultancy or Engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with the corporate communication procedures and guidelines.
  • Experienced in technical writing for communicating complex technical processes to diverse audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Proven experience in the design and execution of communications campaigns, storytelling.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting a substantive and cohesive set of messages for the project, which has been successfully communicated to key audiences.
  • Knowledge and experience with digital communications, internal channels, and content positioning.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively in writing to all levels of employees, management, and external audiences.
  • Excellent writing and editing abilities with extensive experience in all forms of corporate and executive communication, from corporate news releases to executive talking points.
  • Ability to quickly distil complex concepts into interesting and digestible pieces. Ability to listen to actively and thoughtfully and incorporate ideas to influence strategy and shape content. Creative and skilled at identifying and seizing opportunities for an organization to reach key audiences.
  • A proven ability to develop compelling, insight-based strategic proposals and present them effectively and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to manage large projects and deliver global campaigns.
  • A detail-oriented approach and the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Must be able to thrive in an environment where ambiguity and change are the only constants.
  • Ability to negotiate via networking and build strong relationships in the interest of progressing the work is a must.
  • Creative, innovative thinker, team player, 'Can-do' approach.
