Where will I be based?

We are hybrid. If you are based in the UK we will want to meet-up once every month or so and you are more than welcome to drop in to our Hertfordshire HQ or London office.

We are happy to consider EU based candidates, provided you are willing and able to travel to the UK for team and company meetings.

Key responsibilities

  • Design greenfield AWS infrastructure to run web technologies such as websites, web apps and web services at scale.
  • Integrate third party services to enhance our service offering, allowing us to "stand on the shoulders of giants". E.g. Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.
  • Respond to incidents impacting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the platforms we are responsible for.
  • Embed within project teams to reduce toil and improve speed of delivery by championing a DevOps culture.
  • Engage in compliance and security processes to ensure that we are delivering the best possible security posture to our clients.

Experience and skills

We're looking for applicants with skills and experience in the following areas:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps role with PHP experience previously.
  • Knowledge of modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
  • Working knowledge of web technologies. (E.g. HTTP/2, HSTS, SOP, CORS, etc)
  • Experience building and optimising high performance technology at scale.
  • An open source technologist, with good working knowledge of common open source technologies. (E.g. Red Hat Linux, Amazon Linux, Debian, git, SSH, rsync, nginx, apache, etc)
  • Familiarity with core Information Security principles. (E.g. threat modelling, compartmentalisation, separation of concerns, principle of least privilege, etc)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Who you'll be working with

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team. You will be tackling interesting challenges for a large multinational organisation and delivering meaningful solutions for services (both new and existing, across online and offline touchpoints) that improve the lives of users who interact with them.

What are the benefits?

If you are based in the UK, these are some of the benefits you can expect to enjoy:

  • 28 days annual leave as standard (including bank holidays), along with 1 extra day for every year of service and additional time off over the Christmas break
