Project Description

Manage the successful migration to rehouse the MRSG application suite and file shares from the current on-premises London Data Centres to the cloud on Azure.

Task Description (= service description as in final offer)

  • Lead the Business Solutions project to deliver to time, scope, quality and budget
  • Work with the Service Delivery and global data centre transformation (DCT) teams to ensure that the business applications and file shares are successfully rehoused in the cloud with no business impact to services or functionality
  • Ensure technical debt is minimised to enable migration e.g., remediate application and associated infrastructure, ensure the application and the supporting host software is running on current releases, does not have any security or cyber vulnerabilities and is re-platformed as required
  • Co-ordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or other testing for re-platforming or other technical debt removal changes. Testing the changes associated with remediating the platform including smoke testing all the way through detailed functional regression testing required on a risk-based basis
  • Manage UAT and other testing for re-hosting. Testing the re-hosted application on a risk-based basis, including detailed functional regression testing as warranted.
  • Ensure early business engagement and documentation of testing and outcomes.
  • Project planning, scheduling, resourcing and dependency management following the approved project management methodology based on PMBOK and Agile practices
  • Manage distributed resources including third party and allocate these to the phases and tasks accordingly
  • Track progress of project phases and activities and report to the project board
  • Produce project tracking reports
  • Review and manage project costs using Planview project management portfolio tool
  • Lead project steering committee meetings
  • Ensure project sign-off activities are progressed in a timely manner
  • Agree and track project deliverables
  • Provide support to quality assurance and user acceptance testing
  • Third party vendor relationship management

Required working experience (in years)

5+ years professional background in project management

Required skills and qualifications

Must have

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering end to end application to cloud migration projects from design, migration, testing and go live
  • Strong project delivery background with more recent experience within the insurance/financial services
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering critical and complex IT system related projects within financial services

� Strong communication with business stakeholders, & facilitation skills

� Knowhow and experience in state-of-the-art information technology

  • Ability to work with third parties and offshore AMS teams

Nice to have

  • Company/London Market (re)insurance experience - understanding of key business applications and dependencies used with in the Lloyds market.

Additional information

Will be working with distributed IT teams and externally and engaging with multiple business teams in the Lloyds market.
