Senior BI Developer
We have need of a seasoned BI Developer to support us on a contract basis in the development of a suite of management reporting dashboards.
This is a "hybrid-working" role and you will mostly be working remotely. You will be tasked with managing the data from the back-end through to Power BI dashboards. Working in an Agile and DevOps environment, you should have skills across the following:
- Design and develop new reports and dashboards within Power BI to serve key business areas
- At least 2-3 years hands-on work experience optimizing Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability and standardisation
- Advanced Power BI, Power Query, DAX, M
- Advanced SQL experience
- Experience of exploiting the capabilities of the Power BI service including DataFlows, Apps and Dashboards
- High attention to detail and accuracy while achieving high productivity and rapid turn-round
- Ability to manage stakeholders up to director level
- Passionate about BI and report writing
- Experience of working in DevOps environments and with DevOps tools/methodologies would be beneficial
- Able to explain your work even in complex situations and ensure that it can be maintained by less experienced team members
- Experience of Python and working in a Data Science environment is desirable
You will be required to demonstrate a portfolio of your work using Power BI.
